Michael Soule smMichael Soulé, PhD, is Senior Science Advisor to HLI and was an original Co-Principal Investigator on the Trophic Cascades Involving Humans, Keystone Predators, Elk, and Aspen in North-Central Colorado on the High Lonesome Ranch Research Project. Michael is Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a founder and first President of the Society for Conservation Biology and The Wildlands Network. Michael has written and edited 9 books on science and has published more than 170 articles on population and evolutionary biology, fluctuating asymmetry, population genetics, island biogeography, environmental studies, biodiversity policy, nature conservation, and ethics.
